Natsumi dressed casually for her journey across the nation of Affe, with light clothing that felt comfortable to move in.
The cropped shirt was because she’s proud of her abs and wanted to show them off.
Under her shirt she wears a bulletproof undershirt at Keanu’s insistence, providing limited protection.
Natsumi was raised in a monastery along with her sister, Fuyumi, after their mother left them in the care of their sister Tsunami.
Their mother hasn’t been seen since that day.
Natsumi coped with her loss by promising to help Fuyumi realise her dream of seeing the world. She began training her body and mind to pass her mercenary exam, so she could act as her bodyguard. She took an unorthodox route to achieve her dream, by learning Taekwondo rather than the Tai Chi style of the temple’s master. Said master, Shaman Koori, encouraged her and even gave her a pair of handguns after she passed the firearms license exam.
During her first trip out with Fuyumi, Natsumi met a fellow mercenary called Keanu. After a brief disagreement, the pair team up against a common enemy. Seeing how much more effective the pair could be together, Natsumi invited Keanu to join her clan, which he agreed to do. Together they continued to travel, making new friends and expanding the clan.
