Keanu lost his father and sister at a young age. He used this motivate his training to become a mercenary, promising his childhood friend, Xuiling “Rose” Feng Bao. Since his mother was injured and couldn’t teach him the family Karate style, family friend Xin Feng Bao taught him in the Wing Chun style and the Bulletfist technique. Over time Keanu developed his own freeform fighting style, incorporating other styles he’s seen or learnt.

During training he accidentally harmed Rose with a technique, sending him into a shame spiral. As a result he began holding his energy back and refuses to unleash the full power of his Bulletfist.

Keanu met Natsumi during a job, initially as rivals for the same bounty, but were forced to team up to defeat a greater threat, Jumbo of the Mountain Tribe. Afterwards, Natsumi convinced Keanu to join her in a new clan, which he reluctantly agreed to.
