SEPHRONIAN CALENDAR

Each month in the Sephronian Calendar is dedicated to a different God.

Season of Terra

1st month of spring
Celebrates the coming of new life

A festival of flowers; homes are adorned with flowers and colours to celebrate new life blooming.
Coincides with the Angel migration to Sparta, in search of mates.

 Season of Venus

2nd month of spring
Celebrates love

It is said that those who confess their love under influence of Venus are blessed with everlasting happiness with their partner.
Many towns hold gatherings where couples mingle and people try to meet new partners.

Season of Jupiter

3rd month of spring
Celebrates fireworks and lights

Celebrated at night with ringing out, filling the sky with colour while people dance to the sound of drums.
Rumoured to have been started when Jupiter became a drinking binge, which turned into a month long party. Most use it as an excuse to get drunk.

Season of Mars

1st month of summer
Celebrates WARRIORS.

Celebrated by an annual tournament, attracting Mercenaries from all over the continent to prove they have what it takes to be champion.
The winner is allowed to ascend Mt Dagger in Lobo, and at the summit challenge the God of War, Mars to combat.

Season of Pluto

4th month of summer
Celebrates the departed dead

Despite the morbid subject, Pluto’s season is one of music, usually celebrated with performances. New bands and performers usually use this to make an name for themselves in front of thousands.

At night on the last day of the month, lanterns with messages for the dead are released into the sky.

Season of Vulcan

1st month of summer
Celebrates Craftsmen and art

A festival celebrating craftsmanship. Used by artists to premier new work.
Recent inventions of computer games and film have also been featured at Vulcan festivals.

Season of Luna

1st month of Autumn
Celebrates the harvest

A month of hard work begins, preparing for the long Sephronian Winters.
Hunters and farmers harvest their wares, leading to communal feasts to celebrate the end of the harvest.

Season of Mercury

2nd month of Autumn
Celebrates protection from evil spirits (demun)

Costume parties where candy is served helps brighten the nights and ward off evil spirits.

Season of Nemesis

3rd month of Autumn
season of remembering lives lost

A sorrow-full season, where respect is payed to those who have died.

Season of Neptune

1st month of winter
Celebrates family and charity

Gifts are exchanged and money raised for charities to help the unfortunate.
Family members will spend this time together traditionally.

Homes are decorated with lights, which continue throughout the Winter season to help brighten the nights.

Season of Uranus

2nd month of winter
Celebrates protection from the cold winds

Sephronian winters can grow harsh, even in the desert. People don’t venture outside often during this time.

Season of Saturn

4rd month of winter
Celebrates the new year

A send off to the year, and the end of Winter. The festival happens at midnight, bringing in the new year with food and drink.
